Customers can now experience the superior sound quality of the g.722 VoIP codec
TRAVERSE CITY, MI - July 11, 2012 - Appia Communications, a leading provider of managed communications and network services, today announced that customers can make high definition calls across the Appia network, as long as they are between end-points that support the g.722 codec.
The g.722 codec has twice the frequency range of standard VoIP codecs. The codec does this while still using the same bandwidth as standard VoIP codecs.
"A call between two high definition phones sounds clearer and more true to life." said Victor von Schlegell, president of Appia Communications. "It's like the difference between listening to a transistor radio and a stereo. It even has better sound quality than traditional telephone service."
