Speak clearly when leaving a message. Enunciate and speak slowly so that the recipient does not have to replay your message.
Always leave your number. Also, be sure to say it slowly enough, and even repeat it, so that the person you’re calling has a chance to write it down.
Include the reason for your call. That way, the person will be able to call you with an answer, not leave you a return voicemail asking why you called.
Don’t leave multiple voicemails. This just adds to voicemail overload. If you need a return call right away, say so in your first message. If it’s an emergency, contact the next person on your list. | ||
