Video Communication News

Our Applause video communication service recently had its first third-party review, and it went great. Read (and see) all about it on the TelBitConsulting Technical Blog.

Want to try it yourself? You can schedule a live demo at your convenience with our automated appointment system at www.applausevideo.com. These free sessions are fully featured and are conducted remotely over your broadband connection.

SONY Video Conferencing Packages from RiverPark

Last month, we hosted a Video Communication Open House at our Chicago offices to demonstrate Applause and a cool new all-inclusive SONY equipment package from Appia partner RiverPark.

RiverPark’s conference room packages are specifically designed and certified for use with Applause, and they’re a quick, easy, and affordable way to get video communication up and running.

The basic package includes:

  • An Applause-qualified CPU with keyboard and mouse
  • A 46” SONY Bravia LCD with built-in speakers
  • A SONY SD Camera with wireless remote
  • A professional-grade conference microphone

Available options include a SONY Home Theater System, stationary and mobile pedestals, a 52” LCD, an HD camera, and more.

In the Chicago area, you can schedule your own private showing with Appia’s Frank Beltrano (312-893-6403). Outside of Chicago, contact your Regional Manager.

The Four Ways to Save Video Conferencing

We just released a short new guide explaining the four critical factors that anyone should consider before implementing video communication. If you’re thinking about using video in your organization, this is a great place to start.

$500 Customer Referral Program

Do you know a company or organization that would benefit from Appia’s services? Let us know right away. If your referral results in a new customer, you get a $250 VISA gift card and your organization gets $250 off its next monthly Appia invoice!

To qualify, you must send your referral’s name, organization, phone number, and email address to referral@appiaservices.com.

Phone Contract? No Problem with Appia's IP-PBX

If you do have a referral in mind, know that we can serve them even if they still have phone contracts with local service providers. Our flexible IP-PBX solution allows companies to start saving with VoIP while honoring their current contracts. When those contracts expire, it’s easy to transition to the added savings that a full VoIP solution provides.

TecHints: Filter Junk Mail

If you use Outlook, you know that it isn’t always the most effective way to filter junk mail. There’s a program that does a much better job called SPAMfighter.

A free 30-day trial is available at www.spamfighter.com. It installs in Outlook and is easy to use. After the trial, it costs $29.00 a year, but if you spend too much time managing spam, you’ll find that’s pretty cheap.
