Audio Conferencing Price Drop Includes Free Tier
On October 1, we’re lowering the cost of our audio conferencing service from 7.5 cents per minute to only 5.9 cents, including usage and toll-free access!
But the deal gets even better. Unlimited audio conferencing is FREE in months when you spend at least $750 on other Appia services. Here are the keys to remember:
- Only Appia services count toward your $750 monthly spend. Third-party services (e.g., T-1s, usage, and DIDs) are excluded
- You can use your IP phone (extension 6700) or the direct-dial number (231-929-6700) to access the conference bridge for free. Toll-free access (800-910-8278) is billed at 2.5 cents per minute.
As always, set-up is free and no reservations are required. Just dial in anytime and from anywhere. Enhanced features include:
- Conference recording, storage and playback
- Administrative blocking of unwanted or unidentifiable callers
- Robust moderator controls, including the ability to assign multiple moderators for a single session, allowing other moderators to exit without ending the conference.
Even the old rate of 7.5 cents per minute was much less than what other services charge. At 5.9 cents or less, you have a very compelling way to stay in touch and save some money.

Video Conferencing a Hit at American Bar Association Techshow
The American Bar Association (ABA) hosted a “Techshow Road Show” in Michigan earlier this month, and we were there to showcase our Applause video communication service with affordable Sony equipment packages by RiverPark.
Legal professionals were pleased with the recording feature, a must-have in their day-to-day use of the technology. But beyond simply recording video depositions, focus groups and the like, they were especially intrigued to have live remote access to these sessions, allowing lawyers and other stakeholders to participate in real time without having to travel.

Sending voicemails to your email inbox offers some interesting advantages. Messages are easier to organize, save and share, and you don’t need to listen through other messages to find the one you want.
Appia’s voicemail-to-email service sends an audio file to your email inbox that can be played right on your computer. For a one-time set-up charge of $15 and only $3 a month, it’s a great way to prioritize and keep track of all the calls you miss.
